What a heavenly location! We woke to a glorious morning and felt alone in the world, bathed in sunshine and with views forever. Brooke is such a friendly host and, my goodness, she can cook! And it's all gluten-free on request.
We had dinner and breakfast provided, as well as a very delicious Gin Experience before dinner. And such an exotic breakfast - a tomato-based chickpea concoction topped with early asparagus and a perfectly poached egg.
The cottage is at the height of luxury, from the fluffy towels and ultra-comfortable beds, down to the choice of radiator central heating or attractive gas fire. My room had an en-suite bathroom and a dressing room and it is so quiet in the countryside that I slept like a baby all night. It's the perfect place to unwind and relax and there is a spa pool with river views in the extensive garden. There is a barbecue and pizza oven and next time I visit I will be making use of those!

Pure relaxation in a truly peaceful New Zealand paradise. From the bright and colourful gardens to the native bird calls through the trees and the sprawling panoramic vista over the distant Waikato river, there is a serenity and otherworldly charm to REG. The spectacular beauty of the location is only surpassed by the kindness and hospitality of the owners of the property. Take up any opportunity to try any of the food offered would be my advice... you won't regret it. That being said a visit to REG is surely destined to leave you with one regret... and that is simply not to have booked for longer.PARADISE!!!!
Relax at REG would probably be my favourite place to stay in New Zealand. The cottage is a little piece of self-contained luxury with incredible views and so many thoughtful extras, from the board games and books to the cosy blankets to wrap yourself in while you admire the sunset. Brooke and Tim are the perfect hosts and Brooke's food is simply spectacular. You won't want to leave!
Relax at Red Earth Gardens is a little oasis of beauty and tranquillity ... Brooke is an amazing hostess and the BnB cottage is amazing! Super comfortable and practical, but with those extra touches of luxury in all the beautiful furnishings etc. Everything you could wish for in a relaxing weekend. The views are to die for ... and Brooke's food is absolutely delicious! Definitely worth a visit (or two)!
Relax at Red Earth Gardens instantly envelopes you with a sense of calm and rejuvenation. Incredible hosts Brooke and Tim have created a perfect escape amongst lush gardens and fruit trees overlooking the Waikato River. A personal touch at every turn, from the cosy cottage to the delicious goodies made on site, will have all your senses stimulated and recharged in no time! I’m looking forward to my next visit.
